This event will takes place at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Mississauga Ontario on January 17th, 2019
--
The show opened with Willard Manchester walking to the ring being flanked by Liam Beesley and Oliver Stewart. This would be the first time we have seen all three members of FIGHT:UK together on North American soil. Beesley and Stewart looked like a couple of lads who would be happy to scrap with anyone anywhere - including outside of their favorite watering hole. Manchester spoke about how dominating he has been thus far in the Cruiserweight Cup, and how he expects the same level of dominance from Beesley and Stewart within the tag team ranks. He made it clear that they planned to exert brute force to intimidate the II roster. This brought two new faces to the stage - They are collectively known as "Electric Storm" - Sato Watanabe and Tetsu Kondo stood atop the stage with their arms folded. No words were exchanged, but it was clear by their body language that they had an interest in the three men standing in the ring. Manchester encouraged the two Japanese men to 'come get a closer look.' Kondo then spat red mist towards the ring, to signify his distaste for the British faction.
Result: Black Jaguar defeats Reggie Taylor via 450 splash [13:40]
Reaction: This was a rematch from their first round qualifier in Midwestern Pro Wrestling. Jaguar earned a measure of revenge with this victory, as in doing so - earned himself a spot in the final four! In their first contest, Taylor was aided by his 'Spin Cycle' teammate Jamal Williams to advance. In this contest, it was straight 1 on 1, and we could see that not having to worry about any outside interference played into Jaguar's confidence. The match was fast paced, and Taylor appeared to have had the match won after a brutal double underhook DDT - but to no avail. The crowd was behind The Black Jaguar, and as is momentum mounted, Taylor started to wilt away. Jaguar fell to the mat after the victory in a moment of pure joy. He had exacted his revange, and was now one of the last man standing with an opportunity to claim NAWC gold.
Result: No Contest
Reaction: This match didn't even get started. Once Buckshot made his way out from the back, Luck rushed him from the ring and the brawl was ON. These two men threw eachother into anything that would hurt, and attempted to break the other's spirit with an array of hard hitting strikes. Both men would trade toe to toe, and at one point they spilled into the crowd to continue the brawl. Much like the Crossfire and Vasquez match, II staff rushed from the back to separate these two men when it was clear that neither had any interest in wrestling an actual match here tonight. Matthew Saunders emerged from the back and said that once Vasquez and Crossfire were cleared to compete - he would have the QB:K9's challenge The Hawaiian Hitmen for the Open Weight Championships in a Steel Cage at their supercard which is scheduled for February 10th, 2019.
Result: FIGHT:UK defeats OSD via Double Powerbomb [18:32]
Reaction: A great tag team exhibition, and a preview for what is to come within the tag team ranks. Post match, FIGHT:UK started to get a few extra licks in on their fallen opponents. This prompted Tetsu Kondo and Sato Watanabe to hustle towards the ring to break things up. They weren't there to merely break up the brawl, they inserted themselves into it. Kondo went after Beesley while Watanabe locked up with Stewart. As the fight was ensuing, Ohtani and Osaki were getting to their feet, and they laid out Willard Manchester with a barrage of kicks. Before long FIGHT:UK were retreating. The four Japanese men stood in the ring, sizing eachother up. Each side extended their hand to the other as a sign of respect and sportsmanship.
