The following card will take place at the Mississauga Convention Centre in Mississauga, ON on January 7th, 2019
-
The Hawaiian Hitmen opened the show in the middle of the ring. The II Open Weight Championships around their waists. Their messages was simple - they want to flex on anyone who thinks they're 'badder' than they are. Any individual, team or group ought to mind their business, or end up on their radar. Crossfire said tonight's war with Aaron Vasquez is more than just a rivalry between two factions - it's for the title of baddest man in International Influence.
Result: The Black Jaguar defeats Irwin Collins via Shooting Star press [13:09]
Reaction: Irwin Collins controlled much of this match by keeping the action grounded. His tool box full of exchanges on the mat make him ever dangerous. The pace of the match started to pick up around the ten minute mark, when TBJ took control. Before long, Collins was reeling - and after a nasty springboard spinning heel kick, The Black Jaguar executed the shooting star press to secure the pinfall, and earn himself three points.
Result: White Light II defeats Mitchell Dixon with a stalling brainbuster [23:13]
Reaction: This match belongs on everyone's must watch list. Up until this point, point to this match as the most competitive and entertaining of the bunch. Dixon has started to come into his own as a wrestler, and finds himself in the thick of things in MPW - while White Light is looking to follow in his father's footsteps to become one of the best Crusierweights in the North America. You could see that each competitor was operating under their own version of pressure. Dixon was looking to earn his second victory, and position himself in the final four of the tournament. A loss from Light, and it would put him in a very precarious position. The action had the crowd on their feet, as both men turned in fantastic performances.
Result: No Contest (Neither man answered the referee's standing 10 count.) [36:03]
Reaction: This fight was fought all over the building, and both men used every inch of the building as a weapon, and to take any advantage they could find. Crossfire delivered a samoan drop from the stage onto the concrete floor. In doing so, he knocked both himself and Vasquez out cold. It was a very awful scene, as the crowd stood in silence, wondering if there had been any permanent damage done to either man. Matthew Saunders made his way out from the back with every member of the medical staff in tow. The staff feverishly checked on both men, doing all they could to ensure their safety. Saunders could be seen with a panicked look in his eyes - and yelled at the referee to ring the bell - as this contest had gotten way out of hand. The show ended with both Vasquez and Crossfire being stretchered out of the arena, into the back.
