We open up the show with Brinley Bishop walking into the arena from the parking lot. He’s dressed in casual street clothes, with a duffel bag in hand. The large all American wrestler turns the corner, where he see the man that recruited him to the professional ranks.
[Parker Smith.]
Smith: “Hey big man, it’s been a minute.”
Brinley is surprised to see Parker. In his mind, he owes a lot to this man. If it wasn’t for him, Brinley may not have caught the break that he has. The two men exchange a handshake, as the conversation continues.
Bishop: “Well, look who it is. I didn’t expect to see you here tonight. Aren’t you busy scouring the globe looking for new talent?”
Smith: “I was. I just touched down here last night. Listen, I’ve been keeping my eye on things from afar, and I wanted you to know that you should be proud of the progress you’ve made this year. I know you’ve had some disappointments along the way – but I’m here to remind you of who you are, and why you’re built for this.”
Bishop: “It’s been quite the year. I had two opportunities to become the North American Champion, I’ve been on the shelf with a knee injury and I’ve had half the roster gang up on me in these multi-man matches.”
Smith: “For me, I hope that what I saw last week is something that you’ll consider long term. As you know, I know a thing or two about tag team wrestling. Based on what I know about you, and from what I’ve seen from Tyson – I believe that your two skills sets match. Where you lack, he’s able to pick up that slack and vice versa. That, and the fact that the two of you would be a huge mountain to climb for anyone, anywhere.”
Bishop: “Last week was more about revenge than changing my career trajectory. But, you do make valid points.”
Smith: “I’m glad you see it that way, because I went ahead and spoke to my brother last night. I convinced him to book you and Tyson in a tag team match here tonight. If my observations are accurate, this could be the beginning of something magical. Something big enough to where I might put my transient lifestyle on hold to help mold.”
With that, Bishop eyes twinkle at the thought. Having his mentor share his insights is a huge boost in confidence. The scene shifts as the two men enter the locker room.

Singles Match
Liam Beesley vs. Alec Kirkland
20 Minute Time Limit
--
Last week we were treated to a master’s of the mat match between Kenneth Marshall and Willard Manchester. Now, their respective partners would look to settle their differences inside of the ring. FIGHT: UK have come up just short in their two Midwest championship opportunities, but they believe they’re very close to rising above to secure a clean pinfall and the championship gold.
This match was the epitome of a back and forth contest from the outset. As he tends to do, Kirkland would throw caution to the wind, and take risks in order to put his opponent in a compromising position. Beesley would be equal to the task, and use Kirkland’s strategy against him. Once Beesley had the momentum, he showcased a barrage of high impact moves that would’ve defeated a lesser man on any occasion.
Kirkland is known to have a strong chin and the will to match – and that’s what he showed in this contest. As the time keeper informed the referee that there was only five minutes left in the contest, it seemed as though Kirkland’s gas tank was still full, while Beesley seemed to be fading. A true endurance athlete, with a chin to match is always going to be a tough out, and that’s exactly what Kirkland proved to be. After swinging the tide back in his favour with just over two minute left in the contest, Kirkland nailed Liam with a nasty superkick. He didn’t go for the cover, he instead took a page out of his partner’s book, and locked Liam up in a dragon sleeper submission. Liam tried to fight the hold off, but he eventually lost the battle, and was forced to submit.
Winner: Alec Kirkland via Dragon Sleeper (18:53)
After the match, Kirkland grabbed his half of the Midwest tag team championship and high fived the fans on his way back to the locker room. Beesley looked on in despair, knowing that these opportunities weren’t guaranteed to continue.

A few months pass, and then Shane Severe makes his way towards the ring with a mic in hand. Severe slaps hands with the crowd, before rolling under the bottom rope. He lets his music die down before speaking.
Severe talks about his competitive matches with Esteban Feuntes and how that rivalry brought out the best In both men. Severe mentioned that through that rivalry, they developed a mutual respect for one and other. Now that they would consider themselves friends, Severe wanted to speak out against Bloodline, and some of their actions in recent week.
Severe stood alone in the ring must’ve had a death wish, but he was all fired up. He demanded that Bloodline show themselves, as he wanted a 1 on 1 match with someone from the group.
It didn’t take long for Santiago Ortega to accept the challenge. He came out on his own, but alluded to the fact that he wasn’t there by himself.
Shane Severe vs. Santiago Ortega
20 Minute Time Limit
We should’ve known better, as the referee was about to ring the bell to start the action, the rest of Bloodline slowly emerged from various sides of the crowd. They circled the ring, and had Severe trapped.
Delgado started to direct traffic, and in doing so, distracted Severe. Death Adder rolled into the ring, and took Severe’s knee out. The referee hadn’t started the match yet, so he was left trying to restore order.
Mayorga rolled into the ring as well, and joined in on the attack. The three members of Bloodline, minus Delgado started to take turns beating on Severe. The crowd grew restless, hoping someone would come and put a stop to this.
A few moments passed, and Aaron Vasquez and Crossfire hit the ring, wielding steel chairs. Just as they hit the ring, Adder, Mayorga and Ortega all scattered. They walked over to Delgado, who pointed in the ring, and gave the three men a warning.
Crossfire checked on Severe, making sure he was alright. Vasquez flinched like he was going to exit the ring and start swinging – so Delgado told the troops to back off, and they exited through the crowd. The damage had been done, and they were in and out before anything harmful could develop.

The Evanston Express vs. Tyson Brewer & Brinley Bishop
30 Minute Time Limit
--
The Evanston Express are directly linked to this partnership forming on the heels of the number one contenders battle royal. It appeared as though they were the ones who orchestrated the divide and conquer strategy and eliminated the two men from contention. They would now be faced with wrestling the two of them in their first official match as a tag team.
We watched as David Slater said a few words to Parker Smith, who stood in the corner of Bishop and Brewer. Parker told Slater that he had better focus on the two men who stood in front of him, and worry less about where he is, and what he was doing.
As the match got underway, it was clear that Bishop and Brewer were motivated. They were going to leverage this new found partnership, and under the guidance of Parker Smith, felt as though it legitimized them as a threat to other tag teams in the NAWC.
A Early highlight came with Bishop had Slater in a waistlock position, while Brewer hit the ropes and delivered a nasty lariat – the force through Slater end over end as Bishop finished the tag team move with a release german suplex that dumped Slater on the back of his head. Instead of making the cover, Bishop through Slater into the corner, forcing him to make the tag to his partner. Bishops rubbed his hands together, looking to feast on the fresh opponent.
Sheldon Warren tried to bull rush Bishop, but he was caught in a belly to belly suplex. A quick tag to Brewer, and the two men executed a double powerbomb. The force was massive, as the ring shook. Brewer thought about making the cover, but decided to pick up Warren, and let him stand dazed – Brewer ran forward and destroyed him with a spear!
The impact drove Warren’s head into the canvas. Brewer floated over, hooked the leg, and secured the victory. Bishop and Brewer walked into the ring, and dominated two men who have been teaming together for years. Parker jumped into the ring, and made sure he was the one to raise their hands in victory.
Winners: Brinley Bishop & Tyson Brewer (4:43)

They must know in their heart of hearts that it’s only a matter of time before it’s their turn to wrestle this newly formed tag team.
