- The North American Wrestling Council has officially announced the 'card' for their 3 day event to crown the first NAWC Tag Team Champions. Jon & Parker Smith are said to have been at the forefront of the planning and execution of this tournament. In fact, the brothers are going to oversee the division, and continue to use their own resources to showcase the very best tag team talent in the NAWC. Whomever emerges as the first NAWC Tag Team Champions will be expected to travel to each region, and take on the top tag team talent. This is a huge responsibility, and one that would serve as proof - to who is the best tag team in the world today.
- Willard Manchester took the social media once the bracket for the NAWC Tag Team Championship was released. He was quoted as saying: "The bracket sets up perfectly for us. There ain't nuttin' that two bums who wrestle in that cesspool back home can offer. Soon, we will hold championships in two divisions and our reign of supremacy will only grow from there." Suffice it say, we can expect to hear a lot more from the NAWC Cruiserweight Champion should FIGHT:UK be as successful in this tournament as he expects them to be.
- Alec Kirkland just can't seem to catch a break. He was barred from arenas in the south... he's been arrested... he's been fired... and now he's been forced out of the North American Championship picture by Oxford Osland and I-69. The double DDT and the camel clutch/dropkick tandem offence that I-69 executed on Kirkland was insult to injury. Kirkland still plans to show up in Midwestern Pro wrestling, as his M.O would indicate - as he just doesn't ever give up. While that tough chin of his has been tested - the Canadian grappler has shown tremendous 'heart' as he continues to pursue his goals.
- Speaking of the North American Championship - Aaron Vasquez all but confirmed what some of us had already assumed. Due to the fact that Vasquez didn't seem interested in 'wrestling' Alec Kirkland at CofaC back in December - we wondered what would possess him to blatantly keep the match outside of the ring until the referee had no choice but to count both he and Kirkland out. It appears as though Oxford Osland almost confessed to having something to do with that at the most recent Midwestern Pro event. Did Oxford Osland make Aaron Vasquez an offer he couldn't refuse? Is that why Osland had such a clear path to the finals of the tournament? Aaron Vasquez is now the MPW's next challenger to the North American Championship with an assist from Osland - was that his 'thank you card?' Something stinks here.
- Ralph Erickson of Eastern Elite captured the Canadian Commonwealth Championship to become Northern Pro Wrestling's top singles champion. The result is a bit surprising, considering Erickson and his tag team partner Allan Algar have been entrenched in the tag team circuit for the past three years. How will Erickson's solo success change the dynamic with his partner, if at all? Will Erickson find himself at a disadvantage when wrestling challengers who prefer to wrestle in singles competition? Time will tell. Either way, Erickson first challenger will either by Tyson Brewer or Jackson Evans, and both men will provide a stern test to the new champion.
- By Royal Decree was a smashing success for Crown Jewel Wrestling. Each match on the show delivered - and the promotion now has four champions who represent each of their divisions. One has to wonder if current top draw 'Boom Boom Empire' will be looking to inch his way into the North American Championship scene. Rumour has it that the promotion is eager to flex on some of the North American wrestlers as we head into the second half of 2019.
- Want to talk about chaos? Look no further than the finish to the A*P super show. Cole Christenson had barely enough time to have his hand raised, before Manos Del Muerte hit the ring and made that moment 'theirs'. The group destroyed Chistenson and Paco Losantio, and put the entire A*P roster on notice in the process. Before long, the A*P locker room had rushed to make the save, even blurring some battle lines in the process. Cole Christenson had bought his way into the Grand Championship title picture, but it's safe to say he didn't anticipate having the Manos Group there to spoil his celebration. What happens next is anyone's guess.. But the altercation between the two sides has been one of the hottest trending topics on social media since the event took place.
