The following took place at the Bloomington Civic Arena in Bloomington, IN
--
The show opened with Jon Smith standing in the ring. He reiterated his concerns about the top championship in the NAWC having been defended outside of their signed territories. Smith strongly feels that Matthew Saunders missed a golden opportunity to showcase a championship match in Midwestern Pro. Before Smith could continue on his tirade, the NAWC North American Champion; Oxford Osland cut him. Osland had the championship title around his waist, and dismissed the boos from the crowd which were coming his way. Osland had a mic in hand, and said a few words.
Osland: “You see, that’s a small-minded view of the current landscape of professional wrestling. I’m a burgeoning superstar, and I’m in high demand all over North America. The further my brand extends, the more eyes will follow Midwestern Pro Wrestling from afar. When I won the North American Championship – it became a personal challenge of mine to headline in arenas all over the world.”
Jon responded that the ‘proper way’ of doing business, is to build within your own house. Jon thought Osland had done very little to elevate the current status of Midwestern Pro. Jon told him he felt that a ‘true champion’ would be willing to meet challenges head on, and not resort to underhanded tactics to earn victories.
Jon Smith: “Anytime you’ve identified a true challenge to your championship, you’ve done everything in your power to either avoid it, or to have your cronies eliminate the threat. Well, that stops right here and now.”
Before Smith can continue, Osland is walking into the ring, poised to escalate this conversation in front of the crowd in attendance. But, their attention suddenly turns to the stage area once again, as Alec Kirkland stands there. The crowd responds positively. While Alec Kirkland hasn’t ever wrestled in Midwestern Pro- his name and reputation precedes him. Kirkland had been lobbying for a championship opportunity in Northern Pro Wrestling. In Mid-December, as a showcase to the upcoming North American Championship tournament – Kirkland would score a pinfall victory over Osland.
We could see that based upon Osland’s reaction, he wasn’t expecting to see Alec Kirkland here tonight. Jon Smith’s smile widened, giving us the impression that he was well aware of Kirkland’s intention to challenge Osland here tonight. In fact, it was Smith who extended the invitation.
Kirkland keeps his eyes locked on Osland, as he enters the ring through the ropes. The two men stand nose to nose, eye to eye. Kirkland says a few words.
AK: “I’ve been campaigning for this opportunity for four months. Gus Arnold refused to give me the opportunity – but that doesn’t mean I was going to give up. The way I see it, I’m the only man in the NAWC who’s pinned your shoulders to the mat. That fact, puts me in the top position to challenge you. “
Before Kirkland can continue, Wayne Sherlock and Allan Joseph, slide into the ring and blast him from behind. Kirkland gets back to his feet, and does the best he can to fend them off, but he’s at their mercy. Sherlock takes Kirkland’s legs out from under him, and begins working them over. Joseph eventually stands Kirkland up so that Osland can rush forward and turn him inside out with a massive lariat. Jon Smith has exited the ring, not wanting to get involved in the physical altercation. However, he does motion to the backstage area, and before long, referees emerge to break up the altercation. Osland raises his North American Championship high for all to see, while I-69 get a few extra licks in, before being forced out of the ring.
Jon Smith could be seen talking to Alec Kirkland, making sure he was alright. He also said ‘you had to know this was going to happen.’

Result: Manuel Mayorga defeats Jamal Williams via Disqualification [13:28]
Reaction: Manuel Mayorga impressed the fans with the level of power and strength which can be found inside of an average sized man’s body. His blows were delivering with vicious intent, and they really tested the chin of Jamal Williams. Anytime it appeared as though Mayorga was on his way to earning a victory, Williams’ spin cycle teammate Reggie Taylor would insert himself into the match to break up Mayorga’s flow. The two on one dance had the crowd rooting for Mayorga to overcome the odds. Mayorga delivered a devastating tornado forearm blow to Williams’ jaw that appeared to be the end – but Reggie Taylor jumped into the ring to break up the pin, resulting in the DQ finish.
The action didn’t stop there. As the Spin Cycle duo started to execute their double team offence on Mayorga. The outlook appeared grim, until Santiago Ortega ran out from the back to even the odds. The young high flyer surprised the crowd by executing a springboard double clothesline which stopped their onslaught from continuing. As Mayorga shook the cobwebs, he was looking for revenge, and started laying stiff strikes into the abdomen of Reggie Taylor. Meanwhile Ortega was gaining the upperhand on Williams. Before long, Mayorga and Ortega had cleared the ring, much to the delight of the crowd.
In a moment that should’ve been reserved for respect – it quickly turned the opposite way. We could see that Ortega had been pining for some level of acceptance from Mayorga for the past month, to no avail. Ortega looked at Mayorga after having some to his aid, and essentially stopped a 2 on 1 beatdown which could’ve lasted much longer than it did. Ortega went in for a handshake, to which Mayorga refused, and proceeded to light Ortega up with the same 360 degree forearm shot that he had blistered Jamal Williams with. The crowd was shocked, as Ortega fell hard to the canvas.
Mayorga wasn’t done there. He mounted Ortega and started delivering punches. This act was uncalled for, and was enough to turn anyone’s stomach. How could Mayorga act this way after an act of kindness. The fans cheered as the Midwest Champion Esteban ‘En Fuego’ Fuentes rushed to the ring to stop the attack. By the time Fuentes hit the ring, Mayorga was planning his exit. Fuentes dropped to one knee to check on Ortega. Mayorga pointed from the arena floor, and yelled that this wasn’t any of Fuentes’ business. Undeterred, Fuentes lashed back with a stern warning, that he was to back off and leave this ‘kid’ alone. Mayorga started throwing up hand gestures, almost was if it was a gang sign. He put his two hands together, and the way his fingers were placed, it spelled the word ‘Blood’.
Fuentes pulled Ortega to his feet, and told him that he didn’t need to search for acceptance, and that he was an elite level prospect where he knew it or not. The fans popped as Fuentes raised Ortega’s hand out of respect.

Backstage I-69 stood in front of the Midwestern Pro Banner and shared a few words.
Sherlock: “Whether the people like it or not, we’re the best tag team in wrestling today.”
Joseph: “And we’ve proven it. It’s time we were given our opportunity at the championship gold. Crossfire and Buckshot, we’re putting you two boys on notice. We’re coming for those championships.”
The two men raise their fists, symbolizing their ready to fight at the drop of a hat.

Brinley Bishop walked to the ring to a hero’s welcome. While Bishop was unsuccessful in winning the North American Championship, he was still widely considered as one of the top wrestlers in the world today. The young bull is oozing with potential, and will no doubt find another opportunity in the future.
Bishop entered the ring and thanked the fans for their support. He said that he had let his emotions get the best of him, and had perhaps rushed back into competition a little too soon. He gave his promise that he would get his hands on Oxford Osland once again, and the next time he did, he wouldn’t let the championship slip through his fingers. Bishop said he realized that he would have to wait for another opportunity, and in doing so, have to wrestle his way back to the top.
This is when Mr. Ivanski and Lawrence Kedziora stood atop the stage. Ivanski said that he ‘polish destroyer’ follows his instructions to the fullest. Kedziora bounced on the spot, as if he were a caged animal looking to be released for his cage. Ivanksi said that he felt as though they could defeat Bishop, and take his name along with it. Bishop stood his ground, and encouraged them to ‘prove’ it. The crowd seemed excited about the prospects of another stand-off. Mr. Ivanski said that tonight wouldn’t be the night for it to happen, but he warned that it would happen in the near future.
Bishop welcomed the challenge.

Result: No Contest – Match didn’t ever get underway
Reaction: The Midwest Champion, and his ally Black Jaguar were the first team out from backstage. The crowd was clearly behind them, as the two men slapped hands with as many young fans as they could on their way to the ring. As the two men waited for their opponents, a view from the backstage area was shown on the screen above the stage. It showed both Shane Severe and Mitchell Dixon laying face down with steel chair on the floor beside them. A small pool of blood had formed on the ground above Shane Severe’s head, and neither man was moving. Referee’s and medics rushed to the scene to check on the two wrestlers.
Meanwhile, Manuel Mayorga emerged from the back, and locked eyes with both Fuentes and Jaguar. By now, they had come to the conclusion that Mayorga was responsible for laying out their opponents. Mayorga walked to the ring slowly, showing his hands in the ‘Blood’ position once again. Fuentes could be seen readying himself for a potential confrontation.
From behind, a Latin American man had hopped the guardrail and slid into the ring. The crowd started to yell, praying that Jaguar and Fuentes would turn around. The Man was wearing a Black Jacket with the Mexican Flag on his lapel. On the back the name ‘Delgado’ could be seen embroidered into the jacket. Then… BOOM.
Delgado leveled Fuentes from behind with a vicious spinning heel kick. As Jaguar turned around, he was met with a few right hands. Mayorga slid into the ring, and joined in on the beatdown. It was clear that Mayorga and Delgado knew eachother, and had In fact planned this altercation by strategically taking out Severe and Dixon, so they could have an empty path to their targets.
Mayorga planted Fuentes with a german suplex, while Delgado went to the top rope and executed a perfect moonsault. The height on the flip was huge, and the impact was massive. At first glance, you wouldn’t believe that someone with Delgado’s frame would be able to execute such a maneuver with such grace. Once they had sent Jaguar out of the ring, they really didn’t pay too much attention to him. This seemed like retaliation for Fuentes involving himself in Mayorga’s business earlier in the night, and this was his official receipt.
The Evanston Express and Edward Baker came out from the back with a few referees to stop the beatdown from going any further than it already had. As Delgado and Mayorga exited the ring, they both through up their hand signal to show unity.
