Matthew Saunders sits behind a desk with the NAWC Banner hanging behind him. He’s wearing a three piece suit and a pair of Gucci glasses. He begins to speak.
“It is with great pleasure that I formally announce the next challenger to Oxford Osland’s North American Championship. As you all know, Osland won the championship on December 13th, 2018 in a single elimination tournament. Osland won his first round match against Myles Alexander, and was set to wrestle the winner of Aaron Vaquez and Alec Kirkland in the semi-finals. Fortunately for Osland, both men were eliminated in a double count out. It would play heavily into Osland’s favor, as he would receive a bye into the finals of the tournament. In the finals Osland would meet Kenneth Marshall, who had just completed a thirty-five minute match with Crossfire – thus giving Osland a major advantage. “
It’s clear by his tone of voice, that Matthew Saunders believes that Oxford Osland was extremely fortunate to have had the bracket break to his advantage.
“After conferring with the remainder of the NAWC Board, we have unanimously decided to name Brinley Bishop as the next challenger to Oxford Osland’s North American Championship. We are currently ironing out details for a date and venue, but I can confirm that this match will take place within the next thirty days. Bishop and Osland are no strangers to one and other, and have been on a collision course for the better part of 2019. More details will be made available as they come. Before I sign off here, I want to leave you with a video package which describes the history between Oxford Osland and Brinley Bishop.”
